Who We Are

We are more than just a team — we are a family.

Ladies, we’ve all been there: you roll up to a trailhead ready to drop in and have fun, then look around… Where are the other women??

This is the question that founder and head coach Kelsey wanted to answer — and change. At too many enduro and downhill races, she was one of only a small handful of women competing — sometimes even solo! Meanwhile, there was an endless stream of male competitors lining up. Why the big discrepancy?

In 2024, the team was founded in partnership with the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance (BMA) and the Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA) as a program to inspire women to take their skills to the downhill park. The goal of the team? Provide women with a coaching and training structure, and new comrades to ride with, to get more women on the mountain.

The team was far more successful than Kelsey had planned the first year, with 19 riders on the roster and almost all of them racing. They increased the percentage of women in the local races from less than 10% of the field in 2023 to 31% in 2024! In 2025, the team continued to grow…and the sky is the limit.

The team consists of a mix of riders — all ages, skill levels, and riding preferences. There are some teammates that spend the entire season racing with support from coaches and team captains, and some that prefer to take the opportunity to hone their skills and push their limits — and all are welcome. The team brings riders into a larger community of women who support one another and push each other to try new trails, go bigger, and get faster.

We are excited to continue growing the team in the coming years and bring more women out on the mountain.

“The point of the team is, if you’re willing to come out and ride, we’re going to teach you everything you need to know to be a successful rider on the mountain.”
